If you can get to the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography by July 16, by all means enter my latest blog giveway to receive a free pair of tickets to the Kawauchi Rinko exhibition. A 1,400 yen value!
Kawauchi Rinko has done shows in France, England and Brazil, and has quite a foreign following judging from the number of foreign reporters at the opening for this exhibition, her first big solo show on her home ground of Tokyo. The works in this show are a combination of mostly large-format color photographs plus video works. The artist worked closely with curator Ishida Tetsuro in designing the very striking exhibition space. Kudos to him too.
Enter the giveway using the contact form on this blog to send me your name, email address and mailing address. I won’t use your personal information for any reason. I won’t even keep it. I’ll use a computer to randomly select a winner. Let’s limit to this to residents of Japan, and to be fair to others, please enter only if you’ve got a reasonable chance of using the tickets. I’ll select the winner this Thursday May 24 and mail the tickets that afternoon.
I do giveaways periodically so check back often, or register to be notified by email of updates (which don’t happen so often that you’ll be inundated with mail). The genuine Japanese randoseru giveaway is still open until May 31.
Update May 24: The Kawauchi Rinko giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to N.O. of Yokohama, who gets a free pair of tickets to the exhibit. I’m mailing the tickets today.
